Booking / Payment / Cancellation
We ask for a deposit to confirm the booking. Payment options: bank transfer, SZÉP card. Accepted currencies: Hungarian forint and euro (for payments in euro, the official mid-market rate of the Hungarian National Bank on the day of payment applies). The booking fee is the price of the entire stay, which is refunded in full if the guest cancels at least 5 days before arrival in the off-season, at least 14 days before arrival in the pre- and post-season, and at least 21 days before arrival in the high season. If the booking is cancelled within these periods, the full fee will be charged. The accommodation fee includes utilities and all other running costs. If any problem with the apartment arises on arrival or during the stay, please notify the operator immediately; we are unable to accept complaints after departure.
Safety and responsibility
On arrival, guests are welcomed by a clean guesthouse, which they are asked to keep tidy during their stay. For stays longer than one week, we provide one cleaning per week (and one change of bed linen and towels) free of charge on request – please agree the preferred time with us in advance. Please leave the guesthouse in an acceptable condition; in case of extreme soiling, we charge an extra cleaning fee (HUF 20,000).
Please use the accommodation and its furnishings for their intended purpose, keep things tidy and clean as you would at home, and observe fire and accident safety rules. Please do not take furniture, equipment or textiles (tables, chairs, beds, bedding, mattresses, pillows, etc.) out of the guesthouse. Guests are financially liable for any damage resulting from improper use of the guesthouse or from breaching the House Rules. The guest who caused the damage – or, in the case of a minor, their legal representative – must compensate for it on the spot. If they refuse, the host will enforce the claim through civil proceedings.
The host accepts no liability for guests’ belongings.
Children may only stay in the guesthouse under parental supervision.
As in any household, something may break or stop working through no fault of the guests. If you notice anything unusual, please let us know immediately to prevent more serious damage.
There are several areas and items in the guesthouse and its garden that can be dangerous if not used properly – everyone uses these at their own risk (terrace, stairs, upstairs balcony, etc.).
Smoking
Smoking and burning incense inside the building is PROHIBITED. Please smoke only in the designated areas, which are the terraces and the upstairs balconies. This also applies to e-cigarettes and IQOS. Please restrict smoking to these areas and use the ashtray.
Meals and barbecuing
Some apartments have a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook and eat comfortably. In summer, in good weather, you can also eat on the terrace; please do not eat in the bedrooms.
Garden and locking the building
The plants are looked after by the host – please take care not to damage them. For your own safety, please always lock the gate when leaving the accommodation.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in the apartments.
Waste disposal
Household waste can be collected in the bins under the kitchen sink. Recycling bins are located in front of the entrances and on the shared terrace. When they are full, please empty them into the large bin; you will find new bin bags under the sink.
Quiet hours
Out of respect for local noise regulations and our neighbours, loud noise, playing music or listening to loud music is prohibited in the guesthouse between 10 pm and 8 am. We reserve the right to ask guests who behave disruptively or do not follow the House Rules to leave the guesthouse with immediate effect – in this case, the accommodation fee will not be refunded. Neighbours have the right to call the police if quiet hours are not respected. Let’s avoid such unpleasant situations – party on the beach instead!
Parking
Please use the parking space in front of the house only for loading and unloading, then move your car to the public car park 50 metres away.
Departure
Keys must be handed over to the owner or left in the key safes; you will always be informed about this in advance. If keys are lost, guests must report it immediately, and the cost of the keys and of replacing the locks will be charged to the guest.
The owner will be happy to give you information about programmes and local attractions (main sights, excursion spots, restaurants, etc.) – please get in touch with us. Information materials (in Hungarian and several foreign languages) are also available in the guesthouse.
Important phone numbers
– Ambulance: 104
– Fire brigade (disaster management): 105
– Police: 107
– Emergency call centre (European emergency number): 112
If the HOUSE RULES are not observed, the owner may ask guests to leave the accommodation immediately. In this case, the accommodation fee will not be refunded. The host cannot accept responsibility or pay compensation for damage resulting from events beyond their control (e.g. natural disasters, hail, fire, power cuts, injuries, etc.).
Data processing and invoicing
When booking, the phone number of the guests’ contact person must be provided; we keep it until the guests’ departure so that we can contact you in case of any problem or important question. Accommodation providers are obliged to report data to the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ, mtu.gov.hu). On arrival, guests must hand over their personal documents (passport or ID card, address card) to the host for registration. You can read more about this mandatory reporting here: vizainfo.hu/szallashelyek.
As the Hungarian Tax Authority (NAV) requires the provider to issue an invoice, which must include the name and address of the invoiced party (and the tax number for companies), and as the owner issues electronic invoices, we need your address card and e-mail address to fulfil this obligation, even if the guests have been registered in advance in the Vendégem system. If you prefer not to hand over your address card, you can also send your billing address by e-mail to info@pipacsesbuborek.hu.
The owner declares that guests’ data will not be used for any other purpose than the obligations above, and that the owner does not store the data in printed form. Data stored on computer is kept until the period for complaints expires.
We wish you a pleasant, relaxing and memorable stay!
